Touch screens have an obvious advantage over conventional monitors that the use of a graphical user interface (GUI) and touch screen makes the display can act as an input device and output so there is need for a keyboard and mouse independent and associated wiring.
In selecting a touch screen several questions to be answered – What tasks of the screen serves how does the monitor need to be clear, what environment will be placed to respond and how necessary?
In an industrial environment where the screen can having to withstand contaminants such as grease, dirt and dust are at risk of getting wet, then sealed a capacitive touch screen would be the best option. These are very durable and resistant and many are made for water and dust (IP56 and IP65).
When you require greater clarity of the screen (most Touch screens have less light than conventional monitors) and for surgical or medical use below surface wave touch screen panel based on the best option. They used ultrasound to identify when touched and can be damaged but offer greater clarity and optical precision than other systems.
If a touch screen will be left in a public area, unattended or out then the simplest form of the touch screen, the width of strain, when the screen is mounted in the spring of the four corners and the movement is measured when you touch the screen, the screen is far more durable touch screen. If While not as sensitive as other types of touch-screen is often used when there is a risk of vandalism.
